question maybe stupid but does all the mods i downloaded need to be unzipped? I did this and I get so many fails.

I am having no luck. Why is this game so complex to get working

well I spent 18 hours on this and still have 7 I cant find. did a full reinstall 3 times with everything and still nothing so I guess this list is out of date...

is there a mod that includes the Force powers that were available in kotor 2 and has them in Kotor 1?

Had to give up on HD Carth, Ordo and Juhani overhaul and the whole Senni Vek thing (all filenames and types of Senni seems particularly depreciated) but I was able to go to install with 126 mods. Still worth the hassle!

when i launch it, the game is massively zoomed in by about 300% on the top left corner :( i cant fix it

If I need to change resolution, what steps do I need to retrace to do that? I have mine set to 1920x1080 for my PC but I need to switch it to fit on the steam deck.

I've got everything working except for the UI when you are talking to someone. I can see their speech text but the player characters is no where to be found. Which mod touches this? Also noticed you suggested we alter the resolution in the swconfig.exe to 1280x960 but then in the universal widescreen patcher you say to use 1024x768. Was this a slip up or is this correct? Man disregard, I clearly wasn't paying attention the hires_patcher section.

Ngl, this mod manager is not straight forward and even links to the wrong downloads at times. Entire process felt extremely convoluted.

I play at 34401440, you will need to adjust the text for the highres menu mod.

Thanks. I installed this, game worked well, I then put in additional mods and then ruined the whole game for myself. Will just install all this and not try my luck this time (except maybe the lightsaber forms mod).

Some mods like Scoundrel DS underwear are not in the current full mod build yet are in the TOML instructions, you will "fail" the pre install validation, but this will have no impact on your game.

So we don't need the 1920 by 1080 UI files offered by UNIWS anymore?

I've got a question: both the Restoration mod and the Community Patch mod tell me to install those before any other mods but I've already finished this tutorial and really don't feel like doing it again. Can I still use those mods without my game breaking because I've installed other stuff first? Does the stuff in this tutorial even count as mods? How does this work???

Just want to report that it's still working for personal use! I have yet to test if it works for the purpose I intended it, I'm streaming the game to a friend on discord who feels the game is a bit too janky. The audio of the movies still play, but there's no video available unless I stream my whole monitor, but then discord doesn't pick up the game sound. Trial will commence in the few coming days, I'll try to come back and report if it worked for that as well.

tried this the other day and still was somehow missing some mods when i ran the checker. why isn't there just a mega folder of all mods to make using the sync list even easier

Is the downloaded app supposed to be installed to the override folder? It seemed to have worked but they're nowhere to be seen throughout the game. They only just seem to be there if I use the "giveitem" cheat.

Everything is working but the menus. The save select and even in game the menus are messed up. What's supposed to be on top is down and to the right (in the pause menu, inventory, lvl up etc.) and thus the mouse tracking is off for those buttons as well but the UI in game *unpaused* is scaled correctly and I get dialogue correctly. I've done both the (yes) and (no) option in k1hrm and no change. same issue. Anyone have an idea? My Monitor is also 2560x1440 so I used all the same settings as shown in the video.

Great video. I couldn't get Sunni mod to work. Tool is looking for some file and archive only have a .exe file. no biggie.

Sadly it didn't worked on my 3440x1440. I followed exactly step by step but the menüs are off, and the mouse doesn't work anymore. I hope they'll make a remake of this game, I missed it back in the days. But today its unplayable, at least on my rig.

So I'm running into an issue where part of the screen is black after following the guide. Alt+tab out of the game didn't help and I have it running in compatibility mode for Windows XP (Service Pack 3). I tried changing it to Windows 7 from a suggestion in another post and disabling compatibility mode but the game will then crash in both of these instances.
